Founded nearly a decade ago, COWAP's mission is rooted in the primary goal of safety and well-being for surviviors of domestic violence and their children. Grounded in principles of victim safety and abusive partner accountability, CoWAP is an open forum for exploring what we have learned and what we have yet to learn about this complex and controversial work.CoWAP participants are leaders in New York's domestic violence and social service communities. We have joined together to engage in dialogue about our collective experience, to share out questions and to develop strategies for advancing our work toward ending domestic violence.
